CloudMe Reaches 1.5 Million Subscribers & Launches Redesigned Modern User Experience
The global sync / storage service unveils next-generation user interface
Linkoping, Sweden – March 22, 2016 – CloudMe, the global sync / storage service used in more than 200 countries by 1.5 million subscribers, today announced the launch of its next-generation user experience. The user interface for all customers – ranging from mobile apps to web and desktop – has been completely redesigned with a flat scheme, modern icons and responsive design to adapt and utilize the entire screen of any device.
This new platform will allow CloudMe to easily add features, provide a unified user experience and improve its service with the ability to handle tens of thousands of files simultaneously. This feature will be especially useful for businesses with large document archives or users syncing multiple photos from their mobile camera.
“The new interface is a major milestone and a technological and visual redesign of the CloudMe service that will allow us to innovate faster,” said Daniel Arthursson, founder and CEO of CloudMe. “CloudMe aims to be the most visually-appealing cloud storage service for businesses as well as consumers – a one stop shop for cloud services.”
“People want as few and easy to use services as possible that provide enough security and collaboration for business use as well as syncing and sharing capabilities for personal use,” said Per Ek, executive vice president of business development at CloudMe. “Our users don’t want to login to multiple services and prefer a streamlined cloud platform.”
A recent user survey conducted by CloudMe confirms that 60 percent of its business users also use the service for personal use and more than 81 percent of its users said that privacy is extremely or very important. CloudMe, as one of a few European cloud storage services, operates and owns its own servers and has full control over its data. No data is stored outside the European Union as CloudMe’s main data center is in Sweden which is of utmost importance in the post Safe Harbor landscape that face all businesses in Europe.
CloudMe AB is a leading European sync / storage company founded by Daniel Arthursson in 2011. Mr. Arthursson has launched services like CloudTop.com and developed the original iCloud.com today owned by Apple. CloudMe is a service for sync, storage, sharing and collaboration, used by 1.5 million consumers and businesses worldwide. The service is available on desktops, mobile, tablets, TV’s and web.
