Infographic: The Retail Revolution

Meg Rahner October 21, 2014

Halloween is right around the corner, but we all know that as soon as November 1 hits, stores that had been filled with candy and Halloween decorations are replaced with Christmas ornaments and holiday decor. While e-commerce is only anticipated to account to 9% by 2016, 80% of consumers will use their smartphones to assist in the decision-making process.  In fact, mobile shopping is expected to reach $50 billion in 2014 and by 2016, consumers will redeem more than $43 billion in mobile coupons worldwide. According to a recent report from Custora E-Commerce Pulse:

Once trust has been established after the first successful transaction, [consumers] are more willing to make repeat purchases on a mobile device. Maybe this is an early indicator of more distributed purchasing across devices.”

Smartphones are and will continue to be a critical part of the shopping process, and Spotzot, the leading location-based mobile advertising platform for retailers and brands, released an infographic today that shows just how beneficial it can be for retailers to incorporate a mobile strategy.
