Unlike traditional comments sections and social share links, a “Clip” appears as a highlighted link in a digital magazine or other piece of digital content.  Readers can interact with the “Clips” created by other readers and follow an interactive comment stream, or they can create their own.  Readers are encouraged to dive deeper into the content that they discover to interact with like-minded readers within an article, share specific points of interest on their own social streams, including Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest and ultimately increase their loyalty to, and time spent within, a publication and brands they love.

Beyond encouraging discussion and sharing of content, publishers can also create Clips that lead to external content, such as specific product shopping pages, advertiser information or related articles within the publication itself.
