In today’s digital age, more and more people are accessing the Internet and computer programs no matter where they are using mobile devices like cell phones and tablets. Apps are a great way to drive up business because they allow people to access your content when they’re on the go or not around a computer. In fact, statistics show that only somewhere between 2% and 6% of mobile users will actually spend any money to purchase an app. You might be wondering – so is it possible to make money by creating a mobile app for download? Essentially, an offer wall is a page that appears within your app that offers users rewards or different incentives in exchange for spending money (or completing some action that you specify.) For example, offer walls can award users in-game currency or extra “lives” in exchange for downloading another app you have created or watching an advertisement about a product you sell. Offer walls essentially create a win-win advertising situation for users because they can either choose to spend money or time digesting you advertising and be rewarded for it, or simply ignore your ad and continue with their experience. Offer walls are particularly effective and convenient because the advertising comes right to the user, usually in the form of a landing page, and they don’t have to go out of their way to click a banner or separate advertisement.

There are lots of platforms out there today that allow you to create an offer wall and insert it into your program or app. Some of the most popular are TapJoy, which is the biggest and most popular offer wall provider around, NativeX, SponsorPay, and SuperSonic Ads, which tends to partner with big corporate names to do their advertising. And today, offer walls don’t just offer internet-based incentives. In fact, TapJoy has partnered with a California-based company called RingRevenue, which allows users to make calls from their cellphones in exchange for virtual currency or access to paid content.
