Best Black Friday Apps

Meg Rahner November 27, 2013

Mobile device usage for shopping during Thanksgiving weekend grew a whopping 70% in 2012, but 307 million people still went to the mall on Black Friday. If you plan to take on the madness of mall shopping on Black Friday this year, make sure you are prepared by downloading one of this year’s hottest Black Friday Apps.

1. Buy Via – Available on IOS and Android devices, this app combines in-store and online shopping. It just released a Black Friday and Cyber Monday app in order to help shoppers gain early access to great deals as well as coupons to their favorite stores. Shoppers can also set up custom alerts to receive notifications when specific items go on sale locally or online. BuyVia covers 100 million products in such categories as electronics, shoes, home & garden and apparel, available from tens of thousands of online stores such as Amazon, eBay, GameStop, Groupon, iTunes and Newegg, as well as from major stores including Best Buy, Barnes & Noble, Home Depot, Macy’s, Nordstrom’s, Target and many others.

You can download the BuyVia Black Friday 2013 app for Android or iOS.

2. FatWallet.com – Black Friday Deal Finder

This app connects directly with FatWallet.com, a website which provides coupons, sale and deal notifications to consumers. Their app allows you to search for good deals by category, store, or popular items, and lets you save items you’re interested in to a wish list. Checking out is made simple as you can do so directly through FatWallet checkout instead of having to create a new account for each store you’re purchasing from.

3. GeoQpons – Black Friday Coupons

Described as the “best organized coupon app” from MacWorld and iPhonelife, GeoQpons has put together thousands of the best Black Friday coupons from retailers and restaurants. Forget cutting out and carrying around coupons, all you need to do is download this app. GeoQpons allows you to check Black Friday deals anywhere and use coupons from retailers such as Ann Taylor, Best Buy, Macy’s and Old Navy. You can search the app and create a shopping list, allowing you to navigate the stores easier and focus on your desired items. If you keep this app on your mobile device after Black Friday is over, another perk is the ability to sync coupon expiration dates on your personal calendar as well as new coupon alerts.

Happy Shopping!
