Getting social? Then get mobile with Glimpse!

annebot June 11, 2013

Do you sometimes feel lost in the crowd? There are people buzzing around you, but you feel alone… Have no fear, social discovery is here to help. The MobileFOMO team is pretty excited to attend tomorrow’s Glimpse Social Discovery conference in San Francisco. Social discovery is mobile at its core! There isn’t one company speaking tomorrow that doesn’t have a mobile app. Wow. The power of discovering new things is easier when harnessing the power of mobile. There’s a whole new world out there for marketers, so stay tuned for more coverage on this show!

These are the two panels we are truly excited for:

Neighborhood Discovery
Moderated by David Weir – technology blogger, 7×7
Airbnb, Ann Montgomery – product manager; former co-founder of NabeWise
Highlight, Paul Davison – founder & CEO
Nextdoor, Sarah Leary – co-founder & VP of marketing
Sōsh, Rishi Mandal – co-founder & CEO

Talk about power houses (literally and figuratively). Airbnb is the leader in crowd-sourcing of hotels and places to stay when traveling. You can use airbnb as a guest or as a host and make some money from your home while you’re away. We’re also excited to hear from Sarah Leary about Nextdoor, the new app that’s opening up your neighborhood. This mobile app harnesses the geo location tools of your phone to enable social discovery in your own neighborhood. Hey, maybe your neighbors are cooler than you think?

Content Discovery
Moderated by Mike Isaac – senior editor, AllThingsD
BuzzFeed, Terry City – vice president of west coast
CNN Worldwide, Lila King – senior director for social news
Disqus, Daniel Ha – co-founder & CEO
Twitter, Reeve Thompson – product manager

Wow, wow and triple WOW. This panel is full of media power houses and we cannot wait to hear what they have to say about social discovery and the news. BuzzFeed is arguable the industry leader for content based marketing. Disqus is changing the way we comment online. Twitter, what else can we say? Everyone at MobileFOMO hearts Twitter. Stay tuned for more!

Get your passes while they last!
