Tim Reis, Head of Mobile & Social Solutions at Google, will be talking about mobile as a marketing channel and its relation to branding. User behavior on mobile is different than on PCs and laptops. Marketers must understand how mobile differs and leverage its use to tell a story and connect with consumers. Marketers must learn to adapt and modify their strategies across different platforms. The talk will take place on Friday March 8th, from 9:30am to 10:30am. This is an official SXSW event and will require a badge to get in.
This is a panel discussion featuring David Gill, VP of Emerging Media from Nielsen Company, Mike Proulx, SVP & Director of Digital Strategy of Hill Holliday, Rob Griffin, EVP, Global Director of Product at DevHavas Media, and Thom Kennon, CMO of Brabble. This is another event that will be touching on the topic of user behavior of mobile users. This panel consists of experienced marketers in consumer research and mobile media marketing. They will be sharing their insights on the new generation of consumers growing up in the digital age and trends and changes they see in the marketing landscape. They may touch upon the topic of mobile analytics as well. This is also a SXSW official event and it will be happening on Friday March 8th, from 11:00am to 12:00pm.

There is an excellent lineup of speakers including the Aaron Emigh CTO and Founder of Shopkick, Wendy Bergh, Senior Director of Mobile & Digital Strategy of Walmart , Mark Shaffer, Strategy Development, Business Planning and Analytics Manager at Walgreens, and more! There will be a busy meeting of the minds composing of leaders in marketing and those with a strong interest in mobile at this event. Topics will include location based marketing, app strategy, mobile as it pertains to ecommerce, building great customer service cross-platforms, and many other mobile marketing related topics. This is taking place on Friday March 8th at 3:30pm to 4:30pm. This is another badge only event. For those without a badge, consider the unofficial Mobile Monday Meetup. Join for free drinks and food with some mobile startups in Austin, TX. Unfortunately the event filled up on Eventbrite but perhaps one can get in without rsvping.
